Other Sources
The first other source of information and advice to check out is the misc.kids
FAQ on introducing solid foods to babies.
a book I cannot recommend
The most commonly recommended cookbook for baby food is Vicki Lansky's
Feed Me, I'm Yours. However, I cannot recommend this book. It barely mentions
the fact that many foods are not recommended for infants, due to their
allergenicity, and gives recipes that are unsafe for infants, without
adequate warnings about the intended target age.
a much better book
Another book that I much preferred was Eileen Behan's Meals that Heal for Babies, Toddlers, and Children. It's an
excellent source, the best I've seen published. I found it at our
local public library.
