removing unwanted dye from washing different garments together

Message: Hello there! I have made a very common mistake..ie putting a red top in with my cream colour cord skirt! Now the skirt is slightly pink! I was hoping that you might know a way how to get the pink-ness off? Please let me know! I would really appreciate it ! Thank you very much !

This really cannot be predicted. Sometimes the product you use to try to get out the unwanted dye will affect the original color; sometimes it will not. It's usually worth the gamble, but only you can decide if this is true in this case.

Rit Color Remover is a brand of sodium hydrosulfite sold for home use. Although I generally do not recommend the use of Rit brand dye or any other all-purpose dye for use on cotton, I do strongly recommend the product Rit brand Color Remover, for salvaging garments that have been stained with dye. It often works, though there is always a small possibility of a surprising color change. (Do not use Rit Color Remover on indigo blue denim, as it tends to turn it an unattractive shade of yellow.)
